Employee ranking, hiring with an expectation that every new hire brings above average performance, then assuming everyone will self-organize a set of coherent actions that likely impair their individual results. I support the entrepreneurial spirit, but the world, internal complexity drag, and meaningful TAMs have changed a lot since 2008.
