Wondering if the rush, inevitable crash, and probable ascent of agents will produce some type of “codes for code”.

AFAIK other professions have explicit codes. They don’t exclusively rely on individuals to “maintain quality” or “ensure security”. For plumbing, there’s a rise over run that can be measured, different materials for different types of fluids/gases, and an unbelievable number of thread types. I can’t just ‘screw the pipes together’. They literally aren’t thread compatible. Some don’t even have threads.

In theory, there’s an independent inspector that signs off during construction that the codes have been met.

People make decisions, informed by codes, and the end result is judged by an independent authority.

However, this type of governance seems directly at odds with a desire to “move fast and churn things.”
