I’m working on a self-hosting project that has enough guidelines, guardrails and feedback loops that “implement it” is often enough.

Through an IC lens it’s easy to envision how small teams can and will produce output at unprecedented velocity (at least for certain domains). Through an EM lens, I’m concerned about what this means for early career engineers, teamwork, IC identity, and incident response. And through Director+ lens, it has major implications for organizational design, strategy, and differentiation vs defensibility.
The next couple of months are going to be heady times.
