AWS AppConfig manages gradual config rollout/back based on live metrics, which is good, but understandably isn’t represented in CFN.

Lambda deploys use CodeDeploy (https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/implementing-safe-aws-lambda-deployments-with-aws-codedeploy/) to control the stack lifecycle within a CFN workflow.

Yes. It’s as important to “Build the Thing Right” as it is to “Build the Right Thing”.

It encourages different engineering manager questions (“Did we achieve the outcome” vs “Did we deliver feature X by Date”) which help encourage autonomy and alignment.
