Low friction hallway/lunch conversations can reduce time spent in this mode, but are hard to replicate when everything is a ā€œmeetingā€ over VC. DMs help, but random graphs donā€™t scale and lack signals to non-participants that an interesting conversation is happening.

When something is broken there can be a bias to think ā€œit must work for everyone else, itā€™s just me.ā€ Thatā€™s often not true, but the ambient signals of frustration & passive learning from later stage team members are missing.
